Inside Market

Chef Chad McIntyreWhen we were done eating we walked (quite a ways) to Blount Street where we entered
Market. They serve local, organically grown food. It's fresh and healthy fare. Chef Chad McIntyre spoke of the restaurant's history--the restaurant used to be a laundromat. He was a really laid back dude and I wanted his hat.
The tables were decoreated with mason jars filled with fresh flowers. they quickly brought glass bottles of water to our table. Too cute!!

Cute Vase and Water Bottle
We were served kale chips with homemade ketchup. I had made some kale chips at home recently and these were very similar. The homemade ketchup was spicy and out of this world!

Kale ChipsWe were also served a blackened tofu taco on a homemade tortilla. The tofu was seasoned perfectly (I haven't had a lot of tofu in my life but this tasted grand!) and it was topped with lime creme, thinly sliced cabbage, and pico-de-gallo. Corn relish accompanied the taco. The relisth was nothing to write home about but it tatsed very fresh and healthy.

Blackened Tofu Taco While dining here, Food Stylist had his first experience with tofu and here is the evidence. hahaha
