The roommate?s wedding recap!
Bethany (my sister) and I took a road trip for the roommate?s wedding this past weekend. The roommate and I share an affection for all things vintage, and her wedding was very artsy and featured a variety of vintage themes?from the programs (note the suspenders)?to her gorgeous gown and all of the bridesmaids? lavender 50?s style dresses.
The roommate chose purple and red as her wedding colors. We sat outside for the ceremony and were delighted when it didn?t rain.
Each table featured a different vintage tablecloth and flowers in glass bottles and mason jars.
The dessert reception featured a huge cookie table with homemade goodies and a pie table. Remember the pie I brought?
Here we are with the beautiful bride!
The dancing took place in the side yard of the mansion. The lights strung between the two buildings were so pretty.
The roommate chose all oldies for her dance music. It was a fun time! The smoke you see is from the sparklers we used for the send off.
One of my sparklers malfunctioned, but at least one of them worked! It was such a fun wedding, and I?m super happy for the roommate and her husband.
Hope everyone had a great Tuesday?I?ll be back with a Chicago recap tomorrow! p.s. Thank you so much to Tyler, Ellie, and Caitlin (I?m not sure which one!) for commenting on my ASN blog post. It?s exciting to get some discussion started and to show traditionally trained nutrition students that alternative medicine does have potential!
