Seabrooks Hot and Spicy Wasabi Horseradish Crisps -

The Mister liked them so much he wanted two more...

Yes, these crisps are not only Ninja-vegan, but hot as all-hell. So much so, that I almost cried as I was eating them, but they were so damn good I had to keep going. I felt a bit like Homer Simpson crying as he was eating Mr Pinchy - but in this case, the tears weren't because I was eating a little lobster chum, but because I thought I was going to have a horseradish-induced heart attack at any moment! I'm now sat here with a stomach ache, but, Man, it was worth it...

Yes, it's really that green!

This is my homemade salsa verde. It's based on Italian salsa verde rather than the Mexican tomatillo-based sauce of the same name. Jamie Oliver bish-bash-boshed this up on his new TV programme and once I'd seen that irresistable combination of fresh herbs, garlic, lemon juice, olives and capers (hold the anchovies!) whizzed up into an easy sauce, I just knew this would make the PERFECT topping for a white pizza.
My version contains baby leaf spinach, basil (from the reduced shelf in Mr T's), fresh parsley from my friend's garden, juice of one lemon, 3 garlic cloves, a good handful of green olives, and about half a handful of capers. Some olive oil to bind it all together and it's ready to go! I made absolutely masses so I can see this getting used up on pasta tomorrow - or maybe on boiled new potatoes as recommended by the Cheeky Chappie himself!!!
