Wednesday Recap
Hi my name is Emily, I don’t know if you remember me, but this is my blog. However, life has been crazy and I’ve not even gotten to blog. Boo! Let me go ahead and catch you back up on yesterday’s delicious eats Preworkout fuel: Was a banana and almonds…..sorry no pic! I took Tyler’s 6 a.m. cycle class yesterday morning, which was a total killer!! I was a sweaty beast. And of course we ventured onward to Starbucks following our sweat session. I stuck with the usual…….a tall cup of coffee with steamed skim milk and a truvia. Following working out and Starbizzle, I headed home to get ready to work, pack lunch, and eat breakfast. Breakfast: French pressed coffee, only fixed 1 cup, instead of 2. And notice I re-used my Starbucks cup. Along with a delicious bowl of cereal: 1 cup Cascadian Farms (this is a clean brand) Raisin brad 1/2 cup puffed wheat cereal 1 tbsp chia seeds 1 cup soy milk This was a good bowl of cereal! Off to work I went, for its usual craziness. With our clinic’s caseload increasing and a therapist leaving last week, it literally is insane at work, especially the afternoons. Therefore, when lunch rolled around, I was ready to fuel myself up for the upcoming afternoon of craziness filled with appointments for half a million kids. Lunch: 2 slices of the italian loaf of bread, purchased for Monday’s dinner, topped with Naturally More PB, apple slices, and cinnamon. The remains of the apple sprinkled with more cinnamon on the side, along with a spinach, cucumber, and carrot salad topped with strawberry balsamic dressing. Doesn’t that sandwich look good?!?! This was my first try of Naturally More peanut butter, which the company so graciously sent me 3 jars of. I used the organic Naturally More on my PB + apple + cinnamon sandwich. My Review: I really like the consistency of this PB. I didn’t have to stir in tons and tons of oil like I do in most jars of PB. I also loved that as I was scooping out a spoonful for my sandwich I spotted whole flaxseeds mixed in. Score on some extra omegas! Not to mention the taste was great! Midafternoon snack: My midafternoon snack that was packed in my lunch box is not what I got the opportunity to eat today. Unfortunately, my planned yogurt went untouched, but in comes the snack-stash located in the depths of my desk drawer… I literally crammed this thing down my throat in about 2 bites and actually had to stand in the front office and finish chewing before I went into the lobby to claim my next patient. Whew…..no time to eat! When I finally got home from work about 7:20, I was starving yet again and had no motivation to cook…..this seems to be becoming a trend for me on Wednesdays. Check out my dinners from the last few Wednesday’s…….here, here , and here. While I waited on the hubs to finish up at with the gym, I munched on some yummy crackers Theses are sooo good! I love that they have lots and lots of cinnamon on them. Pizza sounded like a good dinner option and the hubs agreed. One of our favorite pizza places was quickly decided upon: Mega-Veggie pizza….of course. I ate half. YAY for a great lunch of leftovers today! Randomness: The kitties are packed and ready to move….. Umm Russell and I are not so much packed and ready to move. We move in 2 weeks from tomorrow and have 3 boxes packed.
