Did you say bats??

Training: Run 3km / Swim 1.2km

This morning started with a short and speedy 3km run. Given that it was a shorter run, I decided to forego the harbour and run through the botanical gardens.

The first half of the run was so peaceful. There were only a few other people in the park, and it was hard to believe the city was only a short distance away.

However, the second half was not so peaceful. This guy was hovering overhead for a good 5 minutes and was so loud!

The helicopter finally went away, yet the air was then replaced with a horrible screeching sound. I looked up to find....

BATS! And LOTS of them too. Ewwwwwwww. The are so noisy (and smelly!).

I got out of there as quick as I could and headed to the park entrance (which was, thankfully, bat free) and back to the city.

After a quick breakfast (oats and banana) I headed into work for another big day in the office.

After work I headed straight to the pool for a swim, then back to my 'usual' for dinner.

I ordered the otsunaaji salad with avocado, with a side of sweet potato chips.

The salad sounded like this...

Yummy huh? Unfortunately I was served this...

Little more that a few half filled containers of lettuce (yes underneath that avocado is nothing but some wilted lettuce). I was really disappointed to say the least. It did not seem to reflect what was indicated on the menu, nor the price. Mr Eggplant, Mr Capsicum...where art though?

Anyway, by the time I arrived back with this at the hotel it was almost 9.00pm so  I was not in the mood to go back and complain and order something else. I will just protest with my future orders (or lack thereoof!). At least the sweet potato chips were yummy :)

Well, time to settle in for the evening.

Happy baking :)
