Halloween recipe-black cat cookies

Ingredients

- 1 cup soft butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Candy corn
- M&M’s or red hots

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla.

Step 2

Combine dry ingredients and stir into the creamed mixture.

Step 3

Roll into 1 1/2″ balls. Place 3″ apart on lightly greased cookie sheets.

Step 4

Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.

Step 5

Pinch the tops of the cookies to form ears.

Step 6

Use a fork to make whiskers.

Step 7

Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes.

Step 8

Immediately press on candy corn eyes and M&M noses.
