Jumbo Shrimp Wrapped in Prosciutto

As I write this I am sitting at a zesty in laws watching the Grey Cup.  I know it is a day late due to the exciting news about the OpenSky Promotion. The Grey Cup is the championship game for the Canadian Football League – the equivalent of the Super Bowl.


Lets just say the main reason for being here is the food.  I am not  going to get into details with recipes and shots from the party today because these recipes need a lot of care and attention and there will definitely be a week or more worth of amazing tantalizing recipes. You are not going to believe some of these recipes – I just hope my photography will bring this to life for you and do the food justice.  It is 10:00 pm right now and I just finished the Gluten free Crepe.

Below is a sneak peak at the menu line-up.



Shrimp wrapped in prosciutto
Salmon Mouselline
Beef Ravioli with pea and bacon sauce
Gluten Free Crepes with modified duck con fit, and honey balsamic sauce.
Leg of lamb with roasted potatoes
Chocolate Mousse

Shrimp Wrapped w/ Prosciutto


Ingredients

Shrimp wrapped in prosciutto.
Equal number large shrimp and slices prosciutto
Lemon
Cracked Black Pepper

Method

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Wrap shrimp with prosciutto and roast

Bake for 5-6 minutes

When done drizzle with lemon and serve.

Zesty Tip: The old saying holds true when cooking seafood.  DO NOT overcook!  The shrimp will become almost like rubber and it will feel like eating the bottom of your shoe.  Trust your judgment and take them out when the time dictates.


The shrimp were huge!  So juicy and flavorful and with the roasted prosciutto on the outside ( slightly salty ) – I was in heaven.  These guys are super easy to make and I am positive your guests will be impressed.  Lets just say everyone in the room put their hand up to try one of these.
