Let There Be White!

This was perfect timing for me as I have very little white inside my home and I rarely use white dishes. However, outside on the patio is quite a different story! We have a white porch and white patio furniture so white dishes look beautiful outside!

I love how white and black look together, so I chose to accent my white dishes with black chargers, black napkins and black and white placemats.


I was able to cut the flowers for the centerpiece right from the garden. The peonies are still beautiful, even after our torrential downpour Friday night.





The placements are reed with a border of black and white cloth and the chargers are rattan.




I very recently found these dishes at my favorite store - Marshalls! I would love to use them when we host our gourmet group July 4th but I could only find eight dinner plates and 4 salad plates - so if any of my buddies see them, please let me know - I need service for 10.




These charming black and white cups and saucers remind me of my favorites collectibles - MacKenzie-Childs.


The cute white rooster napkin rings were a gift from our hostess, Kathleen :)

Thank you, Kathleen, for thinking of such a fun event! I have never participated in a table setting event before so this was a first for me - and I didn't even have to cook!
