Recipe Review: Turkey Sausage Burgers

By Clean Eating and Me (Visit website)

I created this recipe myself and I was really happy with how it came out.

Turkey Sausage Burgers
- 1 pound ground turkey 99% fat free
- 8 ounces garlic chicken sausage, removed from casing (I actually couldn't find turkey sausage that was "clean" but if you can find it that would work too.)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- Few shakes of worchesire sauce

Place all ingredients in bowl and mix together well with hands. Form the meat mixture into 6 patties and place on cookie sheet covered with foil and cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes or until cooked through.

I served my portion in a Trader Joe's Whole Wheat Mini Pita. It was the perfect size for the burger. John had his burgers on ezekial rolls, which he enjoyed.

I served it with oven sweet potato fries that I previously reviewed and with sauteed asparagus. It was a great meal and really hit the spot. Those sweet potato fries are a real hit. I love them!

Now I'm just catching up on blogs and getting ready to fold some wash before watching Chuck tonight. I also have Amazing Race on Tivo to watch tonight.
