Recipe: Roasted Salmon with Dill
So another year is coming to an end and Christmas is just round the corner yet again!
Have you already got your Christmas party all planned? Decided what kind of gathering it will be, who you are gonna invite and what you are going to prepare for your guests? If you haven't, fret not, because not only that i am in the same boat too but i am also going to share with you a series of recipes for great dishes that will make up to a awesome meal for a cosy Christmas gathering. And also, the dishes i am about to share are really very easy to prepare or rather, idiot-proof and also a healthier choice since recently, everyone's starting to get more and more conscious with the food we put into our mouth! So let's start with the main dish first, shall we? :) Roasted Salmon with dill served with our own home-made creamy butter herbs sauce... :) Initially, we were a little skeptical with having to use such a generous amount of dill leaves, partially because it's our 1st time roasting fish with the dill leaves and because we heard that dill leaves have got a stronger taste as compared to the other commonly used herbs. But it is a typical human thing to assume even before anything. In fact, not only were the dill leaves not as terrible as what the rumours says, the dill leaves actually complimented the fish fillet, bringing another whole new dimension to the sweet and fresh salmon fillet together with the creamy herb sauce we made! Alternative to the creamy herb sauce we prepared, you can also serve the roasted salmon with lime wedges or salsa too. :) an even closer look at the salmon fillet... Anyway, are you wondering why the salmon fillet looks 3D instead of the common flat piece? Here's a little tip for everyone! When grilling or roasting your salmon in future, you can make diagonal slits into your fillet and roll in the flesh into the slits during preparation. Not only that your salmon will cook faster with a better possibility of the seasonings getting absorbed into the flesh, you have a better presentation too! :)Roasted Salmon with dill (Serves 4) Ingredients: 4x 8oz (255g) Salmon fillets 3 tbsp (45ml) fresh lemon juice 1/4 cup (50ml) fresh dill, minced 1 tsp (5ml) salt 1 tsp (5ml) fresh ground black pepper 4 tbsp (60ml) extra virgin olive oil. Method: 1. Preheated Over to 400F (205 deg. c.) 2. Brush a roasting pan with oil 3. remove any bones from salmon fillets 4. place salmon in roasting pan sprinkle with salt and pepper 5. bake for 10-12mins brushing occasionally with olive oil. Really very simple to prepare and cook isn't it? By the way, this is the main dish for now, so do keep a look out for more posts with more suggestions to making a great and complete meal for your cosy Christmas party at home! Till then, I'm outa here! :) related searches : Recipe
