ROTW Ba Noi, Home-Cooked Vietnamese
A hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese restaurant, located within Makati. Ba Noi serves homecooked Vietnamese fare. It was the start of ROTW w/ Deeds. Dishes are very economical. More importantly, everything tastes fresh and natural. We ordered Goi Cuon (Fresh Spring Rolls, Php165). The peanut sauce was light, sort of diluted. Deeds and I opted to split the Pho Bo (Beef Noodle Soup, Php225), it was how it?s supposed to taste like. Light yet filling. Fresh Spring Rolls Beef Noodle SoupWe couldn?t move on without ordering any pork dish, so we voted for Suon Nuong Xa (Roasted Lemongrass Pork Chops, Php225). It looked like pork belly, and tasted like it was deep fried. Good with rice. Roasted Lemongrass Pork ChopsAnd last was a vegetable dish, which I forgot to take a picture of. Rau Muong Xao (Stir-fried Water Spinach w/ Garlic, Php80). This is by far one of the cheapest dinners we?ve had. Except for the Yam Cha?s in Binondo. The week after, Deeds brought Ninang (her mom) to eat here! Btw, dessert was Banana Cupcakes from the neighbor store, Mom & Tina?s.
