Ingredients
Vanilla pastry cream:
Preparation
Vanilla pastry cream:
Put the milk to boil with the sliced vanilla pod.
Beat the yolks with the sugar until the mixture whitens and becomes creamy. Add the corn starch and mix well.Once the milk has boiled, gradually add it to the previous mixture, then return everything to the pot.
Stir constantly over medium heat until the cream thickens, which takes about 10 minutes. Remove from heat, and cover the cream directly with plastic wrap to avoid a skin forming. Let it cool completely.
Unroll one puff pastry sheet and spread the cold vanilla pastry cream over it. Then sprinkle with chocolate chips, and cover it all with the second puff pastry sheet.
Place an upside-down glass in the center. Cut the tart into 16 equal pieces starting from the glass.
Twist each cut "ray" the same number of times for a uniform result (here we twisted 3 times).
Brush the tart with egg yolk and bake for 25 minutes at 350°F (180°C).
And there you have it, your vanilla chocolate sun tart is ready to be shared!
