Who's laughing now?

By The Rumbling Tummy (Visit website)

Lately I've had a thing for Laughing Cow cheese. It's so great! It tastes like cream cheese and has the same consistency, but it's only 35 calories per wedge! Pretty amazing. Despite the fact that I have used this as my go to snack lately, I am completely confused as to the story behind the name. Why name your product after an affable steed?

Perhaps they foresaw what happens to us at 3pm. You know what I mean. You feel proud because you had a healthy breakfast of oatmeal and bananas, a small handful of almonds for a morning snack, and a salad full of fresh veggies for lunch (even passing up the slice of cake for your coworker's birthday!).... then 3:00pm hits. You're in panic mode. Everything looks so delicious! To hold off your hunger you've dipped into your jar of hard candies 3 or 4 times, looking past the fact that they have been sitting on your desk for a little over 2 years. Soon the insanity sets in.. you look at the clock... it's only 3:15! 15 minutes?! 15 minutes have passed and yet it feels like 15 years... isn't it dinner time yet? The nervous giggles start to overcome you as you head to the break room. You open the fridge door and the options are overwhelming... leftover birthday cake, croissants, and a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese (taunting you, I might add). It isn't easy to pass over the cake, but that Laughing Cow cheese is pretty satisfying. Not only did I make a sane choice for the 3pm hunger battle, but my snack is only 35 calories!

I usually spread the cheese on multigrain Wasa Crispbread. The fiber in these give this snack an extra benefit. Altogether the snack is 75 Calories! So who's having the last laugh now?
