Breaded Italian Steak
Nothing is more of a comfort meal than meat and potatoes, served it with warm garlic bread and you're all set for a cozy night in. A great compliment to this wonderful Italian steak dish is homemade tomato sauce to dip your steak and bread into. The sauce recipe that I used was the same sauce that can be found in my 3 Recipes in 1- Meat Sauce Lasagna . Of course, I did not put any meat into my sauce. Also I cut the recipe in half. Ingredients for breaded Italian steak: 2 pound serloin tip roast 2 cups of Italian seasoned bread crumbs 1/4 cup parmesan cheese 2 large eggs 1/2 tablespoon milk olive oil for frying Steps: Heat the olive oil over medium low heat in a large skillet. Use enough oil to completely cover the bottom of the pan. Slice the beef into 1/4" thick slices. The roast that I bought came pre-sliced. In a shallow bowl or pie dish scramble the eggs with the milk. In another dish mix the breadcrumbs with the parmesan cheese. Dip each slice of the roast into the egg mixture, then dipping the meat into the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure that the meat gets completely coated with both the egg and breadcrumbs. Place the slices of roast into the pan with the heated oil. Cook for 6-7 minutes then flip. Cook for an additional 6-7 minutes. Turn the steaks out into a dish lined with paper towels to absorb the excess oil. Serve with warm garlic bread, and tomato sauce for dipping. Enjoy! ~ Chef Megs related searches : Breaded
