Christmas Festive :Dry Fruit Cookies
For Large no of crowd you can try these cookies .Dry fruits acts as nice stain glass cover on those cookies which looks elegant . It Tastes awesome with wonderful Aroma of Dry-fruits Soaked in the Liquids along with the Cloves combination. Yields :60 Cookies Ingredients: 2 Sticks of Unsalted butter 1/2 Tsp Cloves 1/3 Cup brown Sugar 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar 1 Egg 2 2/3 cup All Purpose Flour 1/4 cup each of Chopped Dry Fruits(Pistachios,Dried Cranberries,Cashes,Almonds) Can also try with Raisins,Candied Cherries,Apricots,Pecans. You can also let it stay for 8 hours or overnight. the more you stay the more better until all those flavours bind together next time to cream butter along with cloves , sugar, brown sugar on medium speed for 3 minutes .Make sure butter is at room temperature. put mixer on low speed add egg and mix it well . Now Add flour and 1/4 Tsp of salt if using unsalted butter other wise if salted then no need to add any more salt to the mixture mix it well until it gets combined well but at this point don't Over mix it . Add dry-fruits along with any left over liquid from that bowl as well now mix well to form a soft dough .Divide dough into 2 Cylindrical in shape make a log and Place it in Refrigerator for couple of hours Preheat Oven to 350F cut 1/2 inch slices for that cylindrical long into desired shapes . Place cookies 1/2 inch apart on un-greased baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until light golden brown in color. I Placed 2 Cylindrical Logs one cut in the form of Round shaped and other being the Square shaped . Fun Part of these Cookies is wrap them in Plastic over and Bake them when ever u want .
