Don?t Be Anxious About Anything (Philippians 4:6)
God doesn’t want us to spend our time worrying. We really don’t need to worry about anything…we just need to continue to spend time with God in prayer, seeking His peace, comfort, and direction. He has everything under control. It’s really a matter of trust…do we trust God enough to let go and release our worries to Him? He may not answer our petitions exactly the way we think He should, but He will always take care of us, always be there for us, and always do what’s best, even though His answers may not make sense to us. Here’s how The Message puts it: Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. (Philippians 4:6-7) So when you find yourself worrying or stressing over something, no matter how big or small a need or problem, remember to release your cares into the hands of your heavenly Father, who cares for you and loves you more than you will ever be able to comprehend.
