Meme: Whaddya Wanna Know?

One of my blogger pals, mothership, who writes Motherhood: The Final Frontier, an excellent parenting blog, tagged me in a meme. I know, WTF is a meme? It is basically a questionnaire designed to increase readership. So, someone sent it to her, she fills it out on her blog and tags a few other bloggers who then reciprocate. This is me reciprocating. Feel free to alter the questions for entertainment value. Enjoy!

1. What do you think of the stars of Adult Swim on Cartoon Network?
I adore, worship and revere them. Especially Howard Moon of the Mighty Boosh and Dean Learner of Garth Marenghi?s Darkplace.

2. If you had large amounts of disposable income, what would you spend it on?
Saving the world.

3. What is your most treasured memory?
I have several, but my most recent one is eating a chocolatine for the first time with my sister in Seattle.

4. What was your best gift as a child?
Easy-Bake Oven.

5. What was the biggest mistake you ever made?
So many to choose from! I think, so far, it was driving up Corbin Avenue at precisely the moment an insane woman who had clearly just learned to drive decided to make a left turn against traffic and against me.

6. What 4 words would you use to describe yourself?
Kind, funny, smart, interested.

7. What has been your highlight/lowlight of 2008?
Lowlight: When my son left for boarding school. Highlight: When he finished his year there and came home to finish high school here. (I specify that it was a lowlight because I?ll bet there are people out there who would consider sending their kid off to boarding school a highlight.)

8. What are you reading right now?
Star Wars: Legacy, volumes 1-5. I know, I?m really a 14-year-old boy at heart. After that I have a couple of food books to read. Just words. No illustrations.

9. Tell me one thing I don?t know about you.
I can play the flute and several chords on the guitar, including the ones that comprise ?Take Me Home, Country Roads? by John Denver.

10. Which fictional character from literature would you most like to be?
Lizzie Bennett from Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Because then I would not only get Mr. Darcy and spend time with him ridding the English countryside of zombies, I would also get to have cream tea every day and not have to worry about porking out because of all the intense zombie-fighting action. Not too shabby.
