How to make homemade Rafaello chocolates?
Raffaello treats and Christmas? Like shortbread and Mariah Carey's Christmas song, they are inseparable. Raffaello are luxury and pleasure made chocolates: a soft cream filling that melts on the palate, a crunchy almond in the center and a coconut coating that seems to whisper "eat me". These little bites are the definition of Christmas perfection, ideal for an after-dinner treat, to indulge in between meals or to offer as a lovely present to your loved ones.
Sure, we can buy them at the supermarket, but let's face it: chocolate assortments at Christmas are not exactly a bargain. Between cava, shrimp, ham and sirloin steak, the Christmas budget is growing all the time. With so much to spend, who has room for premium chocolates? But don't worry, we have the solution to save on our shopping cart: make them yourself!
Surprisingly, with such a delicious result, they are so easy to prepare. You don't need a master's degree in baking, or sophisticated machines, or impossible ingredients. We tell you how to make them right here. Put on your apron and let's get started!
Ingredients and materials needed:
Ingredients (for approximately 20 units):- 5 oz white chocolate
- 1/2 cup hot cream
- 4 oz vanilla wafers
- 20 blanched almonds
- grated coconut
Materials:
- Mini muffin tins
- Blender
Step 1:
Chop the white chocolate, put it in a bowl and set aside. Heat the cream in a saucepan and bring to the boil (it can also be heated in the microwave).
Step 2:
Pour the hot cream into the chocolate bowl and stir well until the chocolate is completely melted (the mixture should be smooth and homogeneous). Let it cool down to room temperature. Then put it in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours (better overnight).
Step 3:
Once the refrigeration time has elapsed, chop the wafers. Remove the chocolate cream from the refrigerator and, with the help of a spoon or spatula, add and mix with the chopped wafers.
Step 4:
Put about a teaspoon of the cream in the palm of your hand and place an almond in the center. Then, make a ball with the palms of your hands. Repeat this step until the mixture is finished.
Step 5:
Place each ball on a plate with shredded coconut. The balls must be perfectly covered. Then place each ball in the paper capsules. Finally, refrigerate in the fridge for at least 1 hour before serving.
And that's it!
Your Raffaello treats are ready!
