NORTH END OUTING SUMMARY!

Hello All:


We had a great time on Saturday, November 6 visiting Boston’s North End.


It was a day of culinary adventure and fun! Lunch at the Trattoria Il Panino included risotto, perfectly grilled swordfish, olive oil and balsamic vinegar to go with freshly baked bread. Served by a charming waiter, espresso at the end of the meal fueled us for an afternoon of shopping and exploring the neighborhood. We discovered a new bakery, Bova’s, where we purchased Italian cookies and cannoli for the trip home, plus we were able to stop in at the friendly Wine Bottega to bring home gifts for supportive husbands.


Tonight, a North End inspired dinner of Gnocchi Bolognese, Italian meats a cheeses, awaits my family.


So perfect, we’ll have to do it again some time very soon!
