Peanut Butter and Jelly Rice Krispies
I was cleaning my pantry today and making a grocery list of my staples. I found half empty or is it half full box of Vanilla Rice Krispies and a lonely bag of Marshmallows leftover from our camping trip. I decided to suprise my kids with tasty after-school treat.
I didn't want to make just ordinary everyday Rice Krispies Squares so I looked around and saw almost empty jar of grape jelly and a jar of smooth peanut butter.
Follow the basic Rice Krispies Squares recipe from the Rice Krispies cereal box. Using buttered spatula press half of the mixture into buttered 13x9" pan. Keep the other half in the pan and on the warm stove so it won't get to hard to spread. Spread the peanut butter on top of the bottom layer of Rice Krispies Squares, then spread grape jell on top of it. Cover with top layer of the Rice Krispies mixture. Press down. Let it cool and cut into 20 squares.
