{Mailman Love}

By The Travelling Tastebuds (Visit website)

I just arrived home from my trip to the bay area today… and was greeted by a ton of postage goodies.  I FINALLY received the registration package for the Avon Walk For Breast Cancer in September… I was totally looking forward to this one.

Not sure why… maybe I just wanted a really cool shirt.  But now I’ve gotta kick my bootie in gear and start collecting those donations!  If you’d like to contribute to my torture by having me partake in a 2-day marathon… please clickity-click right here!

And look… I got my Garmin Forerunner 410!!!  I need to totally read up on the instructions this evening so I can hurry and use it in the morning.  My goal is to jog/run 4 miles without stopping…

… hmmm… should I read the English ‘quick start manual’… the German… the Spanish… the French… so many choices!

Okay… so it is uber bulky… especially on me because I have uber skinny wrists.  I’m going to try to convince myself that it’s a really cool super-hero watch that makes me run at lightning speed.

I also got some nifty new hair ties because my current ones keep slipping off each time I run.  I’m hoping these will do the trick.  A few nights ago I went on an outrageous Amazon shopping spree because I’m a complete shopping freak… and an emotional crazy… and spending money makes me feel loved.  Okay… so the damage wasn’t SO bad… I just thought I’d stop after the Garmin to aid my running efforts.  Apparently… I also NEED:

SPIbelt {This is a great accessory for long runs.  It’s basically ant-size… but don’t let it’s dwarfistic appearance fool you.  It can hold a camera… a phone… credit cards… cash… keys… you know… a house… car… your dog… little stuff.    The best part… you don’t feel it bounce while you run… cuz’ bouncing sucks.}

Sweaty Bands {For that CRAZY Medusa-like hair of mine.}

Yurbuds Ironman Earphones {My current iPod earphones suck to no end.  It’s impossible to run in them… the voice is scratchy and the buds never stay.  I’ve been told these are good… it was invented by a triathlete and marathoner after all.  They might know what they’re doing.}

Starbucks Venti Tumbler {Since I already placed three items in my card… and I hate odd numbers… I decided to add a fourth.  So I can always look cool with my Starbucks Tumbler… even if it’s just water… I am one cool cat.  Oh… another cool thing?  Bring in a Starbuck’s coffee mug or tumbler… and they only charge you the re-fill price for your coffee.  Sweet!}

Oh yes… I feel the :love:

Everybody get up and shake your bootie!!!  I got my mag subs!!!  I think I already read the Women’s Health one in the gym… bummer.  But look… that’s Giada on Redbook… I :love: Giada.  My fave food chef celebrity :)  Alright… ta-ta for now my lovelies.
