Chocolate Chunk Cookies & Snowboarding....
Hello everyone & happy Saturday! Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving and ate lots of yummy food. I'm sure most of you guys had Pumpkin Pie during this week/weekend, but believe it or not, I don't like Pumpkin Pie. I know, it sounds really weird - but, for as long as I can remember I've never been really able to eat it. Here are some delicious cookies that I got from my 10 year old reader, Miss Alex. What really was interesting to me about this recipe was that you use butter flavored shortening. My Dad described these accurately...."just a good ol' Chocolate Chip Cookie". "Chocolate Chip Cookies" ½ cup unrefined sugar (you could use regular sugar, this just gives it a great texture) ½ cup packed brown sugar 1/3 cup butter 1/3 cup butter flavored shortening 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 1 ½ cups unbleached flour ½ tsp baking soda ½ tsp salt ½ cup chopped nuts (optional) 1 package milk chocolate chunks or chips DIRECTIONS: Cream eggs, butter, shortening and sugars. Add vanilla and dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips. Bake at 375 for 8 ? 10 minutes or until golden brown. ![]() related searches : Chocolate
