Xxl cookies with hazelnut milk chocolate and peanut praline
As you know, we are absolutely fans of cookies of all kinds: In ice cream, in mugcake, in giant cake and classic cookies, it is clearly the good comforting taste that we need at snack time. And for an XXL treat, make delicious giant milk chocolate and praline cookies (here we have made a peanut praline that you can make yourself at home) absolutely irresistible! A soft texture on the inside, crispy on the outside, enjoy!
Ingredients
Cookie dough:
"Cake flour":
Topping:
Materials
- piping bag
- parchment paper
- Balance
- sieve
- electric mixer
Preparation
Mix the soft butter with the sugars until creamy. Add the eggs and mix well.
Cake flour:
Combine the cornstarch and flour then sift the mixture to obtain a finer powder.
Add this mixture as well as the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt to the previous mixture and incorporate it well.
Finally, add the chocolate chunks (or roughly chopped chocolate) and the roasted hazelnuts. Mix everything well to incorporate the toppings.
If the dough is a little soft, refrigerate it for 15 to 30 minutes. Make balls of approximately 6 oz (170g) and place them on a baking tray covered with parchment paper.
Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes at 390°F (200°C). You will need to make several batches, the cookies will spread. Leave to cool on the baking sheet at the end of cooking.
Place the praline in a piping bag, cut the corner and pipe praline on top of the cookies for maximum deliciousness!
Observations
Can we freeze these XXL cookies?
You can freeze your cookies without worries!
Can we reduce sugars?
You can reduce the sugars, but it will affect the texture of the cookie. However, use the two different sugars carefully, the mixture of the two will give the crunchy and soft texture to the cookie.
What filling for XXL cookies?
We chose to use milk chocolate (you can use chunks, large chocolate chips or roughly cut chocolate), roasted hazelnuts and peanut praline, however you can try these combinations:
- white chocolate, roasted hazelnuts, hazelnut praline
- dark chocolate, nuts, spread
- milk chocolate, peanuts, peanut praline
- dark chocolate, pecans, pecan praline
- white chocolate, pistachios, pistachio praline
- raspberries, roasted hazelnuts, raspberry jam
Don’t hesitate to create your own associations and tell us in the comments which ones you have tested!
How to store these XXL cookies?
You can store them at room temperature in an airtight container for 4 days and in a cool place for 6 days, take them out 30 minutes to 1 hour before tasting!
