Keisuke Tokyo Ramen

By lobster paints... (Visit website)

The weather has been unpredictable lately, and when there's cold spells for the entire day, what I usually crave for is a good and piping hot bowl of ramen. And guess what! I found myself another good place to have Japanese ramen aside from Noodle House Ken or Marutama Ramen when I have the crave again!

Or rather, I have to thank Ken Yashiro from WonderAsia Pte Ltd and Keisuke Tokyo Ramen for inviting me to a food tasting session with them and helping me discover another wonderful place to have the craves for Japanese ramen fixed... :D

Selected as the top 3 Champion in Japan yet again this year in TV TOKYO's Ramen Champion series, Keisuke Toyko Ramen serves authentic Japanese ramen created by the renowned 'Ramen Revolutionist', Mr. Keisuke Takeda in Singapore for almost a year now.

And recently, they have taken the ramen they serve to another level by allowing customers to customize their bowl of ramen according to their preference like having an option of including more menma (fermented bamboo shoots) or excluding ingredients such as pork char siew or leek.

Yes, now you can have your ramen the way you want it!

Seasoned beansprouts and onions

Additional toppings for your ramen where the chopped onions are available on every table or you can always ask the staffs for the chilled seasoned bean sprouts.

Buta Syoga Yaki (Deep-fried Pork with bread crumbs) - $9.00

The deep-fried pork cutlet was fried till a beautiful golden brown colour and it's a simply splendid combination with the crispy bread crumbs outer layer crumbling with every bite and the complimenting tonkatsu sauce!

Check out the thickness of the pork cutlet!

This is probably the thickest and the most tender Japanese style deep-fried pork cutlet I ever had! If you had room for more food aside from the ramen, I strongly recommend that you give this a try! :)

Premium Tonkotsu Ramen (Pork broth Ramen Premium) - $14.80

The Tonkotsu Ramen at Keisuke Tokyo was served with pork char siew, a more traditional white noodle instead of the yellow egg noodle and on top of the typical ramen toppings, they actually added cheese for their Premium Tonkotsu Ramen too! Yes CHEESE!

But I'm actually really surprised that the cheese complimented the broth very well. And not forgetting the fact that the tonkotsu (pork) broth was really a very tasty one. It's definitely one of the best ramen broth I ever had. No wonder there is an overwhelming response so far since the launch of their Tonkotsu Ramen approximately about 3 months ago.

Watarikani Ramen Ajitama-iri (Crab stock ramen with flavoured egg) - $15.80

Probably everyone's impressions of the crab stock means that there will be a unpleasant fishy seafood taste in the broth, but I must really say, that's a very bias statement.

Indeed, there was a strong seafood flavour but it was no where near being unpleasant or fishy. In fact, I thought I could almost taste the actual crab meat in my mouth. It surely was a very hearty bowl of ramen topped with pork char siew and komi tamago (flavoured egg).

Deserved One showing off his completely cleaned out bowl!

It must have been either he was very hungry or that the ramen was really good!
But I bet it was the latter! :D

No limitations of the number of bowls or Crab ramen anymore!

This also means that you can go to Keisuke Tokyo now and be sure that you will definitely get to try their Crab stock ramen! :D

Anyway, you seriously got to love how the mix of rustic brick walls, contemporary furnitures and soft orange lightings created a cosy and comfortable ambience for you to sit in, relax and enjoy your ramen... :)

By the way, the portions was pretty decent to fill our stomachs! And we both had our ramen at "Normal", as in we didn't ask to add or remove any ingredients and all were good but we just thought that the ramens were a little saltish.

So if you are not the type who enjoys the heavy tastes, I would suggest that you inform the staffs before hand when you're making orders.

But once again, I really thank Ken from WonderAsia Pte Ltd and Keisuke Tokyo Ramen for having us and letting me discover another good place to enjoy my ramen! :)
