Melting pot of thoughts
Did you see the coconut vanilla bean ice cream recipe over at crazibeautiful? In the article (do I call it an article?) I share the recipe for the maple lace cookie bowls in this picture, and this one. There have been so many fantastic options for vegan ice cream treats circulating the internet right now to tempt even the udder obsessed, I can't decide which kind to serve for the babe's first birthday (next week!), I may just make them all. I have some fun and very exciting news. There are a handful of classes being offered by the lovely melissa in the next few months, classes you will not want to miss. A number of them will be taught at Jacob's Cove Heritage Farm where she will teach how to use local, fresh, seasonal food; and guess what? a couple of the classes will be substituted by yours truly. I hope that doesn't deter people from signing up though. I'm pretty sure I'd be more comfortable teaching a room full of four year olds about energy qualities, but I am beyond excited and hope I don't burn anything. Have you heard about this yet? The husband and I will be calling tomorrow to reserve our seats, first thing in the morning. Well, maybe after breakfast. and family time. and a morning nap. You should come, and then you should tell your friends, but definitely not in that order. Someone referred me to an article over at utah stories written last month. I had replied to the person who wrote it quite a while ago, sending along my answers to a few questions and never heard from them again. So naturally I assumed they never wrote the article. I am honored again to be considered among the best food blogs in utah; especially when I read a lot of utah food blogs (and then some) and wonder why I'm not up to par. I also felt a little silly reading through my own responses. It's similar to hearing your own voice or watching yourself speak, dance, or interact with other people on video; why is it always so strange? and why do you inherently notice all the the things you could have done differently? You know, I never did sign up for that pole dance class... Oh, and thanks to my fantabulous brother, we're back in business. See my newest upload, an inside view of that naturally red velvet cake. I made a second one, and ate almost half of it on my own. again. That's probably not something you really care to know; but it happens. It's more of a blush hue instead of red, because there's not a bottle full of red dye. Given the choice I'd rather have a rosy chocolate velvet cake rather than a red dye #40 velvet cake. but that's just my opinion because well, this is my blog. related searches : Melting
