The mystery is finally unraveled! The food with the highest cholesterol content is bovine brain. This food, consumed in some culinary traditions, can have up to 3100 mg of cholesterol per 100 grams. This value is considerably higher than that found in other foods commonly considered to be rich in cholesterol, such as eggs, which contain about 373 mg per 100 grams. Bovine brain, therefore, exceeds this value by almost ten times.
