Pink Pesto Pasta

Pink Pesto Pasta

Main Dish

I always seem to forget how much I love pasta! For some reason, when I think pasta, I usually think boring. I really shouldn’t think this because I always end uploving whatever pasta dish I am eating. Maybe I’ve had some bad pasta experiences in the past? Pasta is definitely one of those hit or misskind of dishes– you can either nail it with an amazing recipe or completely miss the boatwith a blah one. Luckily, tonight’s pasta dinner was the former! :D

I cooked-up a simple whole wheat linguine dish with pink pesto sauce, broccoli, and frozen asparagus. I cooked the pasta and veggies separately, and then threw everything together with the sauce in a big pot and mixed well. Viola! Dinner was served!

The sauce that I used was a creamy pink pesto sauce from Sauces ‘n Love’s Scarpetta line. The sauce was a rich blend of creamy tomato sauce with a punch of savory pesto for a flavor. Ingredients include: Tomatoes, onions, extra virgin olive oil, fresh organic basil, cream, Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino Romano, garlic, pinenuts, salt & pepper. The pink pesto sauce covered the linguine just right– it was thick, but not too heavy.

Another cool thing about the Sauces ‘n Loveproducts (this is going to sound dorky) is that they come in really great, heavy-duty plastic containers with screw-on tops. They’re great to reuse, especially for packing lunches and commuting to work.

As always, I needed something sweet to finish my meal. With Barney Butterin the house again, the decision was easy: a toasted Arnold Sandwich Thin with Barney Butter spread on top. The heat from the Sandwich Thin made the BB all melty and gooey… holy yum!!! :)

There mayor may notbe a contest giveawayon CNC tomorrow! Be sure to check back in the morning! :)

Good night, guys!!! Sleep tight, don’t let the bed bugs bite! (Ewww, what a creepy saying! I had never thought about it before! I think the saying should be changed to something like: “Sleep tight, I hope you are able to get rid of your bed bugs!!”)
