Auringon Pizza ja Kebab ? The Cheapest Kebab in Finland
How much do pizza and kebab cost in your place? I bet it’s less than in Finland. Here the average price is about 6-7?. There is, however, at least one exception: Auringon Pizza ja Kebab. Every normal sized kebab and pizza costs 3.9 euros ($5.05). This is very cheap for Finland and I’d say it’s the cheapest kebab restaurant here. Let’s see what you can get for this price. The place is located next to the Pasila railway station. Hence it is easy to approach and locate. Upon entering you will see a sign advertising the cheap kebabs and pizzas. There is actually an ongoing discount for the dishes: they are normally +6? but because of this discount they are in fact 3.9?. This sign lures the customers in and the place is crowded at lunch times. How about the main thing? The kebab and pizza? The first impression is the small size. They are not as big as you get elsewhere. Pita kebab is also a bit tasteless. Kebab meat tastes like microwave one and the bread is not moist at all. Roll kebab, while being larger on size, is not tastier. It would make a huge difference if the sauce was something else than the current dull tomato one. If you want to have value for your money, take a pizza. You can get a kebab pizza which is a compromise between those two. As you can see from the above photo, the pizza is not so big but it’s still 3.9?. It fills your stomach better than kebab and is suprisingly quite good. It must be noted, however, that baking a good pizza is easier than preparing a good kebab. For this price though, you shouldn’t have a problem with that. Good things Price (industry-leading in Finland) Location Big menu Bad things Small dish sizes Crowded at lunch times Cheap prices and the location of a busy transport hub makes this place an attractive choice for citizens and visitors alike. If you want something cheap and no-hassle food to fill your stomach, go to Auringon Kebab. Should you have visited the restaurant already I’d love to hear your thoughts about it!
