Chicken in Mushroom Sauce
Don't forget... That groovy giveaway! I love simple, quick and easy recipes (especially after a long day at work). This is one that my mother made us as kids, that I love to whip up when I am craving comfort food. My mom says she has watched her mother make this for years, but I found a similar recipe on Campbell's website. I am sure everyone has a variation of this dish they enjoy. Chicken in Mushroom Sauce adapted from: Campbell's Kitchen Ingredients: 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup 1/2 cup milk 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper Chopped fresh parsley 1/2 can of white wine sliced mushrooms (optional) Directions: Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 10 minutes or until well browned on both sides.Stir the soup, milk, wine, mushrooms and black pepper in the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low.Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through. Serve the chicken and sauce with the rice. Sprinkle with the parsley.related searches : Chicken
