Confisco Grille at Islands of Adventure
![]() While using a free ticket that I had to Universal, I ate lunch at Confisco Grille at Islands of Adventure. We ordered the Shrimp Scargot appetizer to share. It consisted of shrimp soaked in pools of butter, then topped with melted provolone cheese. The appetizer was good, but I imagine all that cheese and butter can't be good for you. ![]() I originally was going to get a sandwich, but when I noticed some of the pasta dishes were selling for the same price, I changed my mind. I had the Penne Puttanesca, consisting of penne in a tomato cream sauce, topped with sausage, kalamata olives, deep fried pepperoncinis, and basil. The deep fried pepperoncinis were a really interesting twist that I've never seen before. I liked my food, especially when you factor in that this was from a theme park where food can sometimes be questionable. For $10.99, the price was about equivalent to what you would get outside of a theme park, if not better priced than some Italian restaurants that I can think of. ![]()
