Family Time

By Carrots 'N' Cake (Visit website)

I spent the entire day with these two guys:

Oh, how I missed them so. Aren’t they adorable?!? :-D

This morning, Mal and I looked at a few houses with our realtor extraordinaire. We really liked one house, but we want to see what it will cost to redo the entire kitchen. We’re having a contractor visit the house sometime this week to see what it will cost before we make an offer. I’m not getting my hopes up, but we shall see! ;-)

Lunch

After house hunting for a couple of hours, Mal and I were starving. We popped by a Subway and used my gift card from the Healthy Living Summit to buy lunch. I ordered a 6-inch ham and cheese sub with lettuce, tomatoes, green bell pepper, pickles, cucumbers, and jalapeños. It hit the spot!

Mal and I also shared a bag of Sun Chips. I put a bunch in my sandwich. Love the crunch!

After lunch, we came home and took Turd for a long walk to The Fruit Center to grab some goodies for dinner.

We walked for well over an hour, so Murph took a break to cool-off with some “lawn surfing.” What a nut! (Be sure to check out the video!)

Dinner

For dinner, Mal and I planned a simple tapas-style meal with lots of little plates and bites. We enjoyed a “medley” of olives, roasted red peppers, and sun-dried tomatoes.

Manchego cheese and artichoke hummus.

And homemade pita chips made with seasoned salt and garlic powder.

Delicious!

We also enjoyed some white wine with dinner.

But, not just any wine, “swanky” white wine! ;-)

It was the perfect dinner to enjoy with my hubby. I feel like I’ve barely seen him lately! It was nice to catch up face-to-face.

Be sure to check back in the morning. I have a fun TNT raffle planned!
