Fantasy Cupcakes on the BBC

Fame at last! Well not quite but we were sure excited to have our fifteen minutes of fame on BBC Radio Lancashire last week (26th August 2009).
Alison from the Ted Robbins show called and left a message to say she thought our cupcake success story would be a nice story for Ted. When I spoke to her she felt it would be a nice item for their weekly 'mystery guest' slot. This is a feature in which Ted must guess the occupation of his guest.
I prepared my clues such as the fact that my speciality in my area of work is 'The White Rabbit', the largest was made earlier this year in London etc.
Ted was pretty hot to trot on guessing and nearly got it on the first clue - but just got as far as me being a cake maker! We must have gone through every kind of cake possible until eventually he screamed 'CUPCAKES'.
And he was of course very excited as Alison brought through the box of six 'White Rabbits' I took with me. I am guessing Ted enjoyed his because he said "The White Rabbit has officially gone down its hole!". Ha ha which I thought was very witty.
Long and short is me and my fella Paul has a great time in the Blackburn BBC studios and I would like to thank Ted and the team for making it so - and giving not only Fantasy Cupcakes some media attention but cupcakes in general!
Bring on National Cupcake week next week.......Yay!
