Frosted Cutout Cookies
Today's recipe: Frosted Cutout Cookies Here is an old christmas favorite! tons of fun to decorate cookies as families! Prep Time: 40 min Cook Time: 8-10 minutes Serves: A lot Here's What You'll Need: 2/3 cup butter 1 cup white milk 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 tsp baking soda 4 cups all purpose flour Directions: 1. cream butter and sugar in a mixer and beat in the eggs. 2. dissolve the baking soda in the milk and then add to mixture. add the vanilla 3. place salt into flour and slowly stir into dough. ( the dough should not be too sticky and should pull away from the sides of the bowl easily.) 4. form the dough into a roll about a foot long and 2- 3 inches in diameter. roll in wax paper and refrigerate for 1 hour. 5. remove dough from refrigerator and let dough come to room temperature. roll out a chunk of dough at a time. ( one dough log makes about 4 chunks.) 6. preheat oven to 350 degrees cut cookies and bake for 8- 10 minutes decorate and enjoy!
