German Chocolate Cake: The Unweildy Frosting!
There seems to be no way around it: The traditional German Chocolate Cake Frosting is no easy spread! I've made this cake several times now, and find myself every time, patting the frosting onto the sides with a spoon. This last time, I did a pre-frost, putting the cake in the freezer for an hour or so to set up more. It helped!
