Gotta love new blenders

By Accountants can cook? (Visit website)

I burn through at least 2 blenders a year. I don't care what they say on the box about being able to crush ice, by the time you get them home and make a few rounds of slushy summer drinks they are burned out.

And then last week at Canadian Tire...they had a blender sale to beat all blender sales. Shawn saw me staring at this really pretty blender.....that was on sale for $70. I wasn't sold on the thought of buying this thing...I mean, $70 for a blender???? Shawn pointed out the handy spout dispenser on it.....no pouring necessary. So off we went with a new blender.

And last night was it's inaugural blend.....margaritas. Who doesn't like a good margarita!

The blender is amazing....a godsend! This thing whipped up a batch of margaritas in no time flat....and without any issues. This summer could be a lot of fun!

We made it through the first batch with pictures. The batch of strawberry ones...not so much.

Frozen Fruit Margaritas - adapted from Food Network
1 bag of frozen fruit (we used a mango, peach, strawberry blend)
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
3/4 cup of tequila
2 tbsp of cointreau or other orange liqueur
2 tbsp superfine sugar
2 cups ice water
Blend and serve!
