You then loop it to create a slip knot. The next step is to select the hair you want to attach it to. You only need 2-3 hairs. You place the slip knot over these hairs and pull the knot closed, tightening it down to the root. The next step is to take the hairs in one hand and the tinsel in the other and tie a second knot. Separate and flatten out the two strand so they lay within your hair. This is sufficient if you want to remove them after a night out. The nice thing is you can add a third step and this will give your hair tinsel some more longevity. Simply take the strands of hair tinsel and tie them in a knot (again at the root of the hair) but not incorporating the hair itself this time. If you tie the hair tinsel in with nice secure knots they will last anywhere from 1-6 weeks. They can be removed by untying the knot or just let them fall out naturally. You hair naturally sheds a little and they will eventually fall right out. The first strand took some practice but after a couple tries you will get the hang of it. I just finished putting 6 full strands in my daughter?s hair and the more you do the quicker and easier it gets. The quality of your knots improve too. Now don?t be worried that this will leave your hair with knots in it. You can untie them and because it is only 2-3 strands it is easy to remove.
