Off The Mat?

By The Hungry Yogini (Visit website)

Yoga this morning was TOUGH. In fact, it kicked my butt. Big time. I think I was sore from yesterday?s wobble fest and a week full of classes. I?m loving the group classes. There?s just something about being in a room full of fellow yogi?s, all practicing together, riding the waves of our breath as a collective whole. It?s just so?FUN!

Once home I was ready for something yummy. Something light and fresh. Something like this:

Just a simple salad with all of my favorites and some FAGE 2% with a chopped apple and homemade granola (link to the recipe on my Recipe?s page). My girl Heather said it best. There?s no need to get all crazy with what we eat, trying new things and switching it up just to say we did. I just love simple food, so why fix it if it ain?t broke, know what I mean?

So I?ve been thinking of ways to share a little bit more about my yoga practice with you guys, some ?Off the Mat? yoga stories, if you will. For me, yoga is so much more than a physical experience. I am constantly learning to relate my yoga practice into everyday real life experiences, to take yoga ?off the mat? and into my daily life. I was thinking I could share some of the things I?m reading  in my teacher training books (remember that pile of books I have to read?) and just share my experiences as I go. It would include stories, tips, quotes etc. Just random things I come across.

Would that be something you guys are interested in? What do you want to see more of? Feel free to leave any questions or suggestions on this post, as I want this blog to be bring as much joy to you as it has brought to me! I want to here your input!

Ok folks, I?m off. Oh and don?t forget about the Lipton Tea Giveaway! I will announce the winner tonight!!!
