Pace Picante Dinner
Two days into the post-vacation work week and I'm still very much jet lagged. By the time I return home, I am not looking forward to preparing dinner and then cleaning up afterwards. Forget about doing any other sort of house work. I've decided to not lose any sleep and the chores will have to wait until the weekend. (But to my surprise, I found myself doing laundry at the crack of dawn since I am also getting up earlier. Not sure how much longer I can keep that up.) Fortunately, for this week's dinner, I have not had to put much effort into cooking. Before I left for vacation, I received two jars of Pace Picante Sauce to sample as part of the Foodbuzz Tastemaster Program. The sauces are coming in handy for busy evenings like tonight. I made a hassle-free version of the Pace Texas Two Step Chicken recipe that is printed on the jar's label. The recipe is simple enough. Pour some Pace Picante sauce over chicken breasts, add a few tablespoons of brown sugar and mustard, and then bake in an oven for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. I skipped the baking part and shortened the cooking time even more by using a roasted chicken from the deli! Since we like our dinners piping hot, I chopped and de-boned the roasted chicken and reheated everything in my skillet wok, adding fresh onions and crushed garlic. ![]() Yum and best of all, I freed up time to work on a mini project! ![]() I am hemming a pair of pants using fabric glue. And yes, I am using a large, heavy book to seal the fabric. My old brand of fabric glue came in a tube but now Target is only selling this Singer brand. The pen shaped bottle helps distribute the glue a lot more evenly. Since I don't know how to sew, fabric glue has been a life saver for minor alterations like this one. related searches : Pace Picante
