Photography Tips from an Amateur
I really enjoy taking photos. Whether it be of my son, my food or anything that is visually stimulating, my camera is ready to shoot. I'm no expert though and I have no training in photography. I'm an amateur. And since starting my blog, I've received tremendous amounts of compliments on my photos. Thank you! I even received emails from fellow bloggers asking for advice on photography and the type of equipment I use. So what better way to share the knowledge than to write up a blog post about it. Currently I use a entry level Sony SLR. A pretty inexpensive SLR camera. However, you don't have to buy an SLR to take nice photos. And even with an SLR if your lighting is not spot on, then your photo will not be visually pleasing. With good natural lighting, the right angle and a simple photo editing software, you can get the results you're looking for. If natural lighting is low in your house, go outside. Experiment. Play with the angles and take lots of photos so you have some variety to choose from. If you're able to buy an SLR (which some of you expressed in our email chains) then I will say it is helpful but not necessary. To create that "fuzzy" background seen in some photos, you can use a photo editing software like Picasa and you can mimic the "depth of field" created by an SLR. There are many functions on Picasa that are helpful and its free if you have a google account. Also, if your point and shoot has a macro mode, read up on it and use it. It'll be helpful. Feel free to leave a comment if you have further questions. I would be happy to answer them if I can. Sharing is caring ~ Care Bears related searches : Photography
