Potato Bajji ( Aloo Pakoras )
Crunchy , spicy potato slices Serves : Three Time required : 20 minutes Ingredients 4 medium ? sized potatoes, peeled and cut into thick slices 50 g gram flour 1 tablespoon ( 15g ) rice four ½ teaspoon salt or to taste 1 ½ teaspoon coriander powder 1 teaspoon cumin powder ½ teaspoon chilli powder ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder ¼ teaspoon asafoetida ( hing ) Water for mixing ( approximately 50 ml ) Oil for deep frying Method Mix all the dry ingredients in large bowl. Add enough water to mix to a thick paste. Keep aside for 15 minutes. Dip the potato slices in the gram flour paste till they are fully coated with it. Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the potato slices in a single layer till golden brown and done on both sides. Drain on an absorbent paper. Serve with chutney / tomato sauce as a cocktail snack or a starter. related searches : Potato
