Pu Tien Restaurant

It's been a busy week and did'nt have time to update my various dining out since last weekend. Always lack of sleep but never lack of food...lol! Went to Pu Tien for some Heng Hwa food last Friday. Quite a pleasant restaurant that serve fine Heng Hwa food.


Deep Fried Duck w/Yam - S$15.00

Mash yam wrap with braised duck and deep fry till golden and crispy. This was quite nice but too much was 'jerlard'.

Claypot Sea Cucumber w/Chestnut - S$32.00

The sea cucumber was thick and nicely braised. The sauce was bursting with rich flavor that make you ask for more rice to go with it.

Deep Fried Tenggiri Fish - S$12.00

Our all time favourite heng hwa dish. But I prefer the one at Ming Chung, more crispy.

Steamed Cold Pork Belly w/Garlic - S$7.00

This was so so only and the sauce was too sweet and starchy for my liking.

Stir-Fried Kailan w/Beancurd Skin

The beancurd skin was soft and smooth. A bit too salty though if not will be perfect for me.

Fried Mee Sua - S$6.00

This is our favourite heng hwa dish. Heng hwa mee sua simmer with stock and lots of seafood. Looked plain but rich in taste.

Seafood Fried Rice - S$5.00

Very homecooked style fried rice. A rather healthy version too as it was not oily at all and still have some 'wok hei'.

Thai Coconut - S$3.80

I was so heaty due to lack of sleep so ordered a coconut drink to cool my system.
