Yesterday i tried keerai pakoda with ragi flour...my grand ma use to make keerai bonda with wheat flour, godhumai bonda,Instead of wheat i substituted with ragi and it turned out a great snack...crispy too.Its quite satisfying and guilt free snack :) And also i tried some in oven-baking.that was also good like patties and enjoyed with ketchup. Ingredients Ragi flour 1 cupWheat flour 2 tbspRice flour 3 tbspSpinach 2 cups(finely chopped)Cabbage 1/4 cup (finely chopped)Onion 1 medium(thinly sliced)Ginger 2 tsp(finely chopped_Chilli powder 1 tspCumin seeds 1 tspHing 1/4 tspSalt to tasteOil for deep fryingMethod wash the veggies and chop them finely and keep aside. Take a mixing bowl, add all the flour, salt n dry powders stir well and add spinach, cabbage, onion, ginger and mix well.Using water ,make it to a thick dough.(if you want you can also add some cashew nuts, cilantro leaves).Heat oil in a wok for frying, when it gets hot, drop small patches of dough in to the hot oil and fry till turn crisp. Then remove from the oil and drain in a paper towel .Serve the crispy ragi keerai pakoda with a cup of hot tea/coffee. related searches : Ragi
