Some Christmas gift ideas

The Art of Tea is a company in Tasmania, Australia where I buy my tea from.  Their tea is absolutely beautiful and they have a huge range of different types.  If you know a tea lover who would appreciate a gift, then I recommend this company - they also have accessories for people who really appreciate making a good cup of tea.

Modcloth is such a cute website and I've found them to be very reliable, particularly considering I live half a world away.  I often look at the items under apartment decor because there's so many adorable (but totally unnecessary) things I could buy.  Well they're the most fun things to buy right?  The unnecessary ones?  I mean who really wants to buy a new vacuum cleaner for example (ours is awful, but I can't bring myself to buy another one, it seems such a waste of money and effort for something I hate doing!).  So if you have any cute, funky girls in your life, they might like something from here in their Christmas stockings.

Tonic Australia is an online site I haven't had the opportunity to use yet so I can't actually recommend their customer service or products personally.  However, their website looks gorgeous and they specialise in home, body and bath products which look very pretty and would make lovely gifts for the ladies in your life.

For those readers who live in my home town Brisbane, Cupcakes by K is a company which makes and delivers cupcakes to your door.  While they don't have different flavours (they offer the traditional vanilla buttercream cake), they do specialise in lovely decorations for different occasions (Easter, Christmas, birthdays, corporate events).  And anyway, vanilla is the best cupcake flavour (in my humble opinion).

A couple of years back I entertained my in-laws for Christmas Day and although it all went smoothly and everyone had a good day, the thought of more baking just made me want to scream.  I decided I would order some Christmas cupcakes to give to my guests before they left for home.  It was very well received and the cupcakes were absolutely gorgeous - the decorations were too good to eat!  The cutest reindeers, santas and Christmas trees on top of fluffy, vanilla cupcakes; I really recommend this company.

I'm a long time fan of Lush and I always think this is a nice, ethical gift to give people.  They have something for everybody and go all out at Christmas.

And of course, it wouldn't be Christmas without my beloved Etsy.  I've linked to some of my current favourites but there's something for absolutely everybody on there. (I love the shop which sells the journals, I love this idea! So unusual now with computerised everything but I will always be fond of proper written journals).

I always think it's not the big, expensive presents people necessarily remember the most but the smaller, well thought out, personal ones.
