101cupcake

I will make the announcement sometime tomorrow afternoon.   I normally put all the names in a big old mason jar but time hasn’t been on my side and I am going to use random.org.  So you get a fourth recipe this evening AND you have until noon tomorrow to get your name in one last time.  Thanks for participating.  And stay tuned, I will be reviewing another wonderful NEW Gooseberry Patch cookbook starting on January 15th.  All the details then!   If you are unclear on any of the details of this giveaway check the previous posts.  Thanks!  And here is your recipe for

Double Chocolate Cookies

1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar packed
1 cup butter softened
2 eggs beaten
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Garnish: additional sugar

In a large bowl, mix sugar, brown sugar, butter and eggs.  In another bowl, whisk remaining ingredients except chocolate chips and garnish.  Add flour mixture to sugar mixture and combine until well blended.  Stir in chocolate chips.  Form dough into one-inch balls; roll in additional sugar.  Place on ungreased baking sheets.  Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.  Makes 3 dozen.

My notes: I used mixed sized semi and bittersweet chocolate chips.  I baked a pan for 9 minutes and next batch at 8.  Personally the 8 minutes was much better.

DELISH!  SUPER EASY!  What more could you want??? Enjoy!
