Vazhakka Peera Vattichathu
![]() Ingredients:- Raw Plantain - 6 Grated coconut - 1 cup Shallots chopped - 1/2 cup ginger chopped 1 tsp turmeric powder - 1 tsp Chilly powder - 1/2 tsp Fish Tamarind/Kudampuli - 3 small piece Green chillies chopped - 3-4 nos salt to taste oil Mustard seeds curry leaves How to do:- Peel, and cut the plantain lengthwise. Mix 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder in a bowl of water and clean the plantain pieces and drain itGrind grated coconut and shallots into a coarse paste and mix it with the plantainsHeat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds,when they pop up,add chopped green chillies,ginger,turmeric powder,chilly powder,fish tamarind ,curry leaves and salt. sauté for a minuteThen add the plantain mix ,a cup of water, cover it with a lid and let it cook on a medium flame for 7-8 minutes or until the plantains are cookedRemove the lid ,stir well and let it stand on fire for 2 more minutes and remove Serve Warm!!!!!
