Why I Love Sandwich Thins

By Marens Morsels (Visit website)

Good morning friends! I was doing some blog reading this morning and I feel so inspired. I have a new recipe on my new Make It List page, that I can?t wait to attempt. It?s a Tomato Pie!!! Have you ever heard of such a thing? I was initially worried about this but after reading the post I?m a believer.

Can I just say how much you learn about html coding by going through your blog theme?s code line for line while looking for plug-in issues. It?s unreal! I knew very little about html before becoming a ?blogger? and now I can tweak all kinds of stuff? like the font size of my posts ;-) . The huge font was driving me crazy, every since my re-vamp in July. Where?s all the food Maren? Okay Okay I?m back on track.

Breakfast

I love sandwich thins! I think they might actually make my top ten list of favorite foods/ingredients/products.

We don?t have the thins all the time, so when we have ?em I like to get my share ;-) . This morning I toasted a thin and fried two eggs with the usual seasonings. Then on half the thin I topped with some grape jam and an egg; the other I sprinkled with cheese after adding the egg. I popped the cheese one in the oven to broil for about three minutes.

My favorite thing about sandwich thins has to be that you can make two different things for one meal. I love to split my thin and make two different things. For instance this breakfast? I got to make two of my favorite open faced breakfast sandwiches instead of just one. For snacks you can have one topped with peanut butter and raisins and another topped with jam and butter.

I?m learning that healthy living is all about finding what works for you. Everyone is different and part of what keeps me on track is eating a variety of things. I also feel like I get more food when I have my flavors more spread out. I would rather split my calories into two or more eats rather than just have one.

My second favorite thing about the thin is of course that they are mini! Maren Loves All Things Mini! Mini just makes me excited, and because I get excited I feel like they taste better. This is completely mental, but I own it :-D .

Can I just say? Loving the macro lens!!! Of course some Seattle?s Best Coffee with half whole wheat drink and half milk with a sprinkle of sugar. I?m 2 cups down and my morning is so much brighter  .

I?m working on a Healthy page for the blog. Where I?ll post articles on healthy eating and living. I really like reading about how different people incorporate health into their lives. I usually take a little something from everyone and combine them to make my healthy life. I know my first page will be on The Filling Factor. I received an e-mail from a reader asking me to elaborate on what that is. So more to come!!!

For either dinner or lunch today I will be making my first Resistant Starch meal! I?m excited.
