8 ounces heavy cream
8 ounces unsalted butter, very soft
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 tbsp cream cheese, softened
14 ounces powdered sugar, divided

Sift the cocoa, confectioners' sugar into a bowl. Blend well.
Bring the cream to a simmer on the stove or in the microwave, and whisk into the cocoa mixture. Keep whisking until it appears smooth and glossy, set aside to cool to room temp.
In a large mixer bowl, beat the butter, salt and 2 cups (8oz) of the powdered sugar until light and fluffy with no lumps. Beat in vanilla and cream cheese.
Beat in cooled chocolate mixture with mixer running on low. Be sure to scrape the bowl a few times. Set aside to cool if frosting is too loose to use immediately.
Use any leftovers to make graham cracker sandwiches immediately. Seriously, do this. Those are out of this world with leftovers.
