1 lemon, cut into 2, first half for juice, the other half sliced thinly.

Half can of Sarsi, the other half for drinking while cooking.

12 chicken wings, marinate with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of rice wine, 1 clove of minced garlic and just a bit of minced ginger (about half a tsp). Marinate for at least 15 minutes before frying.

Some corn starch and water, mix together for sauce thickening.


  • Heat oil, pat dry the wings, put it into a pan to fry till brown both side.
  • Pour in Sarsi, a bit of salt and some water, just to cover the chicken and simmer till sauce reduce to half.
  • Add sugar and/or salt to taste.Thicken the sauce with corn starch water just before serving.
