Lemon and oats brownies

A good cake to share with friends or family :) You don't need flour to make a good cake !

Ingredients

Number of serving: 6

Cake :

100 gr rolled oats

130 gr brown sugar

1 pinch of salt

100 gr butter


2 tbsp lemon juice

1 lemon peel


Frosting :

70 gr icing sugar (1 cup)

1 lemon peel

2 tbsp lemon juice

Materials

14 x 22 cm mold

Preparation

  • Step 1 - Lemon and oats brownies
    Blend the rolled oats and mix the oat flour with sugar, salt and softened butter.
  • Step 2 - Lemon and oats brownies
    Add eggs + lemon peel + lemon juice. Mix during 2 minutes.
  • Step 3 - Lemon and oats brownies
    Pour the batter in a greased mold. Bake during 23-25 min at 180°C (350°F). Let it cool down.
  • Step 4 - Lemon and oats brownies
    To make the frosting, add the sugar gradually in the lemon juice.
  • Step 5 - Lemon and oats brownies
    Add the lemon peel.
  • Step 6 - Lemon and oats brownies
    Pour the frosting on top of the cake and spread it carefully all over the cake.
  • Step 7 - Lemon and oats brownies
    Let the frosting dry and there you are !

Observations:

- You can try this recipe using other flours.

- You can try this recipe using orange juice, or other citrus fruit.
