For an afternoon snack, indulge in these light and easy-to-make waffles. They are perfectly crispy and foolproof, sure to be a hit with all your guests! The ideal recipe to make with kids ;-) For the toppings, add whatever you desire. The idea is to take a delightful break in style! Sugar, jam, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, caramel... you will have plenty of options.

Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Mix the yolks with the flour, sugar, and vanilla extract.
Gradually add the milk, whisking well to avoid lumps. Then, add the melted butter.
Whisk your egg whites until they form stiff peaks, and gently fold them into the batter without crushing them. Let the batter rest in the fridge for 1 hour.
Apply a little oil to the molds of your waffle iron and heat it up. Pour in 2 ladles of the batter and close the waffle iron. Let the waffles cook for 4 minutes.
And there you have it, your waffles are ready!
Observations
For a quicker version: If you don't want to whip your egg whites, you can also add them whole to the mixture, along with a packet of baking powder.
Tip: To flavor your waffles, you can add lemon zest or orange blossom water ;-)
